'The Beautiful and The Damned'

20 August 2010 - 02 October 2010

The Beautiful and The Damned, will showcase the work of three emerging British painters in their debut Manchester exhibition.

Mooch N4 has searched high and low and pulled together three incredibly talented artists who paint on canvases, walls and found objects. Mooch N4 will proudly present the heavily layered work of Liverpool's amazing Danny O'Connor aka DOC Art, the beautifully delicate paintings on found objects of Bristol's Gemma Louise Compton, and London's emerging talent Ben Slow, who will be exhibiting in the V & A Museum next month as part of their Street Art exhibition.

The Beautiful and The Damned, will be open to the public Wednesday-Saturday from August 20th-October 2nd, 11am-6pm.

Copyright is busy getting ready for his upcoming London solo show with us. All new works and a couple of editions.

Weve got hold of a sneeky pic of the prints in progress, still to add screenprinted details, spot varnishes and gold leaf. These babys are gunna be stomping. Its a really bad photo from his camera phone, but you get the idea.

Red Bull Canvas Cooler Event

It's taken us a fair bit of time to get around to writing up a blog post about the Red Bull Canvas Cooler Event but as ever it's better late then never...

So Red Bull have always supported the art scene both in the UK and around the world and to help represent this they had a number of their mini bar top fridges clad with canvas which were then given to a range of artists to produce work on they would then be distributed to various bars and clubs around East London.

Artists including Eine, INSA, Dave White, Inkie, Toaster, Copyright and Benedict Radcliffe took part in the event each producing unique creations...

Checkout the photos!

Big thanks to everyone at Red Bull for their hospitality with a special mention to G for inviting Zero Cool to be involved, all of the artists for their hardwork , Ekua King (who must be credited for photographing the whole day and the after party) and all the friends who made our now almost weekly visits to the capital as fun as ever!
